Rangers boss Fidelis Ilechukwu writes off his team’s team’s performance in Katsina

Rangers head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has branded his team’s performance in Sunday’s 4-3 defeat to Katsina United as “unacceptable,” NPFL reports.
The former Heartland and Plateau United manager is pained that after his team scored thrice on the road, they conceded four times to lose the game and their unbeaten run, which was snapped in their attempt to make 11 games undefeated.
However, Ilechukwu promised to work on his side’s lapses as they return to their base in Enugu, where they are billed to play hosts to southeast rivals Abia Warriors this Saturday.
“I think it was a great game today for both teams. Scoring three goals in an away game is not easy, but conceding four goals is not acceptable in football.
“I am so sad about that, but we can only move on as today’s game is gone. All we need to do is to psyche the boys up, identify the challenging area, and make the corrections going into our next game,” Ilechukwu told Rangers media.
Despite their 4-3 defeat at Katsina United, Ilechukwu and his men are still at the top of the standings in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), albeit by a superior goal difference ahead of second-placed Lobi Stars, who are also on 51 points.
