Kenya has recorded more podium appearances that any team in the Athletics events of the Ghana games with 13 medals but with fewer gold medals to Nigeria and Ethiopia.

Kenya has won four golds, fiver silvers, and five bronze medals at the ongoing games.

Nigerai tops the medals table by virtue of the singles golden podium appearances of OKEZIE Chidi Anthony (Men’s 400M, ENEKWECHI Chukwuebuka (Men’s Shot Put), AMUSAN Oluwatobiloba (Women’s 100M Hurdles), and USORO Ruth (Women’s Triple Jump).

AMUSAN was victorious in Brazzaville 2015, Rabat 2019, and on Thurday at Accra 2023. Nigeria’s world record holder in Women’s 100M Hurdles stretches her intimidating feat of sole Woman to have won the event more than twice.
