WAFCON 2022 leading goal scorers faceup to decide semi-finals and golden boots winner showdown

Rasheedat Ajibade and Ghizlane Chebbak faceup tomorrow to decide the semi-final joust involving Nigeria and Morocco at the 2022 women’s Africa cup of nations (WAFCON) taking place in Morocco.

 

Nigeria’s Ajibade and Chebbak, her Moroccan opposition, both have three goals apiece before Monday’s epic showdown in a match that could also decide the Golden Boot winner of this year’s African senior women’s championship.

 

 

Zambia will engage South Africa to decide the other semi-final pairing where the winner progresses to the final to meet the victor of the Nigeria versus Morocco encounter.

 

South Africa’s Jermaine Seoposenwe and Zambia’s Grace Chanda, as well as Chanda’s teammate Avell Chitundu, are their national team’s leading scorers at the championship. The trio have two goals apiece.

 

 

Chanda, Seoposenwe, and Chitundu remain in contention for the golden boot winner prize as well. Same goes for Nigeria’s Uchenna Kanu who has also scored two goals so far in the tournament.
