Napoli FC of Italy are lining up €20 million move for Nigeria’s Union Saints Gilloise striker, Victor Boniface as the replacement of Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen this Summer.
Osimhen has been on fire in Napoli’s colors this season with a total of twenty-five strikes so far, sending Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Paris Saint German, jostling for his signature.
According to a top Italian Journalist, Daniele Longo, Napoli are aware of the possibility of Osimhen joining another club next season, and are currently holding talks with the Management of Union Saint Gilloise FC of Belgium for the signature of Victor Boniface.
“A fee in the region of twenty million Euros will make the deal a reality. Napoli ‘s representatives have traveled to Belgium twice this year to discuss the deal,” Longo said.
Napoli will have to contend with AC Milan (Italy), Lazio FC (Italy, and Eintracht Frankfurt FC of Germany for the signature of Boniface, and the current Europa League joint top scorer . Boniface’s 5 Europa League goals tie Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford’s goal prolificity in the ongoing European series.
Report from Italy indicates that Napoli remains the choice destination for Boniface because the Partenopei (The Parthenopeans) are in the market for another prolific striker to replace the about-to-depart Osimhen, immediately after the 2022/ 2023 season.
Napoli is current Serie A leaders on seventy-one points from twenty eight games.
