Engr. Musa Kida, president of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF),  has said that the Super 8 tournament will revitalize the game in Nigeria.

He urged enthusiasts and lovers of the big men’s game to storm Lagos and enjoy top-quality matches.

The NBBF boss said the Final 8 of the league would provide fans the opportunity to relive fond memories of basketball and once again enjoy exciting but competitive matches.

“The Final eight matches are another opportunity for our basketball players to do what they love doing. I’m sure the matches would be very exciting and truly competitive in the spirit of sportsmanship,” Kida stated.

He expressed further that the Final 8 is a testimonial of the commitment of his board to reposition basketball in Nigeria.

“I tell you that we remain committed to the development and growth of basketball in this country. The final eight is one of the several competitions and programs slated by this board to revitalize the game in Nigeria,” the highly regarded sports administrator enthused confidently.

The NBBF Premier league final 8, expected to hold November 7-12 at the Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, would feature Gombe Bulls, Kano Pillars, Benue Braves, Kwara Falcons, Lagos Islanders, Nigeria Customs and Rivers Hoopers.

Nigeria’s representatives to the 2023 Basketball Africa League (BAL), scheduled to hold next year in Kigali, Rwanda, shall emerge at the end of the competition in Lagos.
