United States of America soccer capital Christian Pulisic is a major doubt ahead of the USA round of sixteen 2022 FIFA World Cup match against the Netherlands on Saturday.
Pulisic was substituted with an injury picked up after taking a hefty whack when he gave the USA the much needed win against Iran last Tuesday. He scored from a close range toward the end of the first half.
The Chelsea FC of England was taken to the hospital where he was diagnosed with pelvic contusion.
According to Dr. Naseem Abdul, based in Doha, a pelvic contusion is a soft tissue injury around the pelvic area. Pulisic does not have any fractures around his pelvic bones. Still, musculature in that region makes recovery very slow.
” It takes 3 to 4 weeks for this kind of injury to heal properly,” he said.
Pulisic, as soon as he was discharged from the hospital was seen dancing and recording the celebration with his teammates.
He later tweeted and said, ” I’m proud of you guys. I’ll be back on Saturday.
Sports Joust reliably gathered that Pulisic availability for Saturdays match against the orange men of Netherlands is subject to a medical clearance by the USA team doctors.
As of the time of filling this report, there’s no official statement by the US soccer federation on the player’s medical status ahead of Saturday’s game.
