‘This is my dream of coming to Nigeria,’ he says

Super Eagles technical adviser Jose Paseiro says his dream is to win the next Africa cup of nations in Ivory Coast next year.
Speaking on the Futbol Picante program on Fox Sports after his wards’ 2 -1 defeat by the Desert Warriors of Algeria in a friendly match in Algiers recently, Paseiro disclosed that Nigeria is awash with quality home and foreign-based players capable of winning the Afcon under his supervision.
” When I signed the contract, I told the NFF that my goal is to win the Afcon. With hard work and dedication, I think the present crop of players can make my dream come true.
The Former FC Porto manager also assured Nigerians that home-based players would have equal opportunity to fight for shirts with their foreign counterparts during the qualifying rounds and the nation’s cup proper.
” The national team is for all Nigerian players ready to lace their boots for the country hence, the need to throw the camp open,” he added.
He explained that he and other technical crew members would continue to watch the local league to select the best for the national team.
Nigeria is leading the pack in group A with six points from two matches in the qualifier for the 2023 Afcon.
