Nottingham Forest has set its target on Leicester forward Kelechi Iheanacho whom they consider a striker of interest as the Reds look to reinforce their strike force for 2023-2024 premier league battles.
Forest are eyeing a move for Leicester’s Iheanacho to City Ground, according to a report.
Iheanacho is among a whole slew of Leicester work-force eyeing the exit at King power stadium following the Foxes dropout from the Premier League and the forward is fast proving to be still in hot demand.
Forest are yet to place their brand on any player this transfer season bringing more focus on who walks through the gate of City Ground as the club’s first summer acquisition.
All has been very quiet so far as Forest continue to see out their first summer following their frenetic signing spree which saw them bring in 29 players in their first transfer season back in English top league.
Report claim that Manager Steve Cooper is working assiduously to fortify his attacking steel, which only scored 38 league goals last term.
The EPL Index claims that the beginning discussion are already in progress for a likely move for Iheanacho, and the teams appear to be accommodating to the recommendation.
Iheanacho’s move to Forest will bring to three the number of Super Eagles attackers at the Tricky Trees following the signings of Taiwo Awoniyi for Bundesliga side Union Berlin and the crossover of Emmanuel Dennis from championship team Watford.
Iheanacho has scored 55 times for the Foxes since arriving from Manchester City for £25million in 2017, but has been curtailed by a inadequate opportunities to play under former manager Brendan Rodgers and lately, current Leicester boss, Dean Smith.
