Johnny Nelson has revealed what he’s heard about Tyson Fury’s training camp ahead of his monstrous fight against Oleksandr Usyk, Nasir Jabbar reports for Sport Bible.

Fury is in Saudi Arabia preparing for his vast, undisputed showdown against Usyk next month.

The WBC champion meets the WBA (super), IBF, and WBO king in a massive fight to crown an undisputed world heavyweight champion.

The self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’ has flown out many fighters to prepare him for his February 17 clash.

But cruiserweight knockout artist Jai Opetaia sparred just five rounds with Fury before returning to Australia amid reports he dropped the undefeated British star.

Following reports of Opetaia troubling Fury in training, Nelson has come out with some concerning news.

The former cruiserweight world champion has revealed he’s heard that Fury is ‘getting turned over in the gym.’

Speaking to Spencer Oliver on talkBOXING, Nelson said: “I’m hearing rumors of what’s happening in camp – I’m hearing that he’s getting turned over in the gym.

“So this thing about appetite when he’s in the gym, I mean, he got shown his a**e.”

The 57-year-old added: “I hear these things, and I’m thinking, has he taken his eye off the ball, or has time caught up with him?

“Regarding his last fight, I put that down to him disrespecting the man in front of him, and if you’re led to believe he had the best training camp, his legs had gone.

“I’d expect Tyson Fury to beat Oleksandr Usyk, but the Tyson Fury who boxed Ngannou in his last fight gets knocked out.

“If that Tyson Fury turns up, then it’s done; it’s over.

“I said, ‘the legs are gone’ line because I remember Tony Bellew saying it about David Haye, and at first I was like ‘what?’, but when I saw it, I knew what he was talking about.

“I might be saying something that might not be too popular – I expect him to win; I just think he dropped the ball in the last fight.

“These rumors I’m hearing, I hope they’re just rumors set about by him.”

Fury heads into his championship fight against Usyk, beating Francis Ngannou in an underwhelming victory.

He’ll look to return to his best when he faces the unbeaten Ukrainian in Riyadh.
