Randy Orton’s Doctors Have Advised Against Returning To The Ring

Sad news

Former WWE Champion, Randy Orton has been off TV since last May, and it’s not looking good when it comes to Orton’s potential WWE return.

Orton had fusion back surgery last November, but according to his father, Bob Orton, the doctors have informed Orton that he shouldn’t return to the ring.

Speaking to Sportskeeda, Orton revealed:

“He’s training, so we’ll see what happens; I don’t know. If he feels like he’s ready to go back, I think he might, but again he’s pretty well taken care of. I don’t think he need [sic] to. And I think the doctors have told him not to. But Randy will do what Randy wants to do.”

We will keep you posted when it comes to the in-ring status of one of the all-time greats.

Becky Lynch Wants To Win MITB

This would rule

The 2023 Money in the Bank event is quickly approaching, and this year’s event will emanate from London, England at the o2 Arena.

One top WWE star who has staked a claim to become the new Women’s Money in the Bank holder is Becky Lynch, and this is what she had to say during a recent interview with Mark Andrews:

“I do want to win the Money in the Bank briefcase before it’s all said and done, and also wrestle Beth Phoenix. I’ve been trying to get her for years. She’s been dodging me. Every single Money in the Bank match I’ve been in, I’ve always been the second last person. We’re talking four Money in the Bank ladder matches, I’ve been the second last person”.

Lynch winning the women’s briefcase isn’t the worst idea in the world. WWE is prone to having the women’s Money in the Bank holder cash-in within 24-hours, so it would be a welcomed change of pace to see a talent such as Lynch hold onto the briefcase for an extended period.

Lynch is currently in the midst of a feud with Trish Stratus, and it is expected that the two will feud throughout the summer.

WWE Have Big Plans To Catapult World Heavyweight Championship To Its ‘Original Status’

Interesting…

The World Title will be decided at Night of Champions in two weeks, as Seth Rollins and AJ Styles will collide for the gold.

According to a new report from credible Twitter source @BoozerRasslin, WWE has “big plans” for the new title, which includes a story that “will catapult the title to its original status”.

What this story could be is unclear, but Rollins and AJ are perfect candidates for whatever storyline WWE have planned.

WWE are putting a ton of focus on the new title, and rightly so. Reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns is competing for the Tag Titles at Night of Champions, so the focus is firmly on the new World Title, and the match between Rollins and AJ is likely to main event the show.

LA Knight’s New Storyline Revealed

Is that it?

Fans have been extremely critical towards WWE’s booking of LA Knight. Since Knight’s feud with Bray Wyatt came to a close in January, Knight has been lingering around SmackDown, with nothing substantial to do. Knight was promoting an appearance at WrestleMania 39, but this was reportedly scrapped, and since then, Knight has seemingly been an afterthought in the minds of WWE creative.

On the SmackDown LowDown show this weekend, Knight revealed that he has a brand-new tag-team partner, Rick Boogs. Knight will be teaming with Boogs next week to take on the Street Profits. Is this really the best thing WWE could have come up with for Knight? It seems insanely random and makes a lack of sense. Knight was initially one of the fan favourites to win the Money in the Bank briefcase in the summer.

However, due to Knight’s recent presentation, it seems unlikely that Knight will go from teaming with Rick Boogs to being Mr Money in the Bank.
WWE clearly don’t realise what they have with Knight, and WWE failing to embrace a wrestler who has managed to get themselves over organically is a trend of the old regime.

WWE Introduce New Strategy To Grab Ratings

Will it work?

Before this week’s SmackDown, WWE implemented a brand-new strategy to grab extra viewers. Before SmackDown went live on FOX, WWE went live on social media platforms, and broadcasted the entrances for AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that WWE did this to “serve as an active reminder that the show was starting”.

This was a strategy that confused fans, as WWE hadn’t pre-advertised the fact that they were doing this, so fans were just confused as to why SmackDown was suddenly starting on social media rather than on TV.

If WWE continues this new strategy next week, it will be interesting to see if it makes a difference to the overall TV ratings, as the idea isn’t too bad, especially in an age of live social media content being red-hot, but the execution could be improved moving forward.

It was rumored this weekend that the show itself wasn’t even produced by Triple H, and Ringside News is reporting that the show was produced predominantly by Bruce Prichard. It is believed that The Game had a corporate commitment meaning he was unable to be at SmackDown in person. Whilst Prichard sure has his critics, at least the temporary baton wasn’t passed over to Vince McMahon, as who knows what kind of erratic booking decisions could have been made on the blue brand.

CM Punk Reportedly Wants Samoa Joe To Be His Return Opponent In AEW

This would rule

One of the popular rumors online currently is that CM Punk will feud with Chris Jericho when he returns to AEW TV.

However, it now looks like Punk may be feuding with an old rival.

According to Fightful Select, sources close to Punk indicated that he has expressed interest in working with current ROH TV Champion, Samoa Joe:

“Can’t confirm whether the pitch/suggestion was for a one-off match or an extended program. Also, we have not confirmation on whether or not the match is actually happening, as AEW sources won’t discuss anything related to Collision in general, much less the matches planned”.

Punk and Joe had a notable feud back in ROH, and it’s unclear if Tony Khan plans to use Punk in this manner, so fans will just have to wait and see.

Former WWE Superstar Contemplating In-Ring Return?

Is Mark Jindrak Coming Back?

The talented big man enjoyed championship success in WCW then joined the WWE, working there from 2001 until his 2005 release. Jindrak missed the chance of a lifetime when he was considered for a role in the Evolution faction only for Batista to get the final spot. Nonetheless, Jindrak enjoyed success outside the WWE including runs in New Japan and lucha libre promotions Triple A and CMLL. According to WrestleTalk, the 45-year-old wrestler last worked in 2022.

Jindrak recently weighed in about a return to the ring during a chat with Developmentally Speaking.:

“Lately I’ve been getting into good shape again, so I feel like a resurgence. I kind of have an itch to take some more wrestling shows. But maybe that could see me wrestling more in the United States. I don’t know. That’s the one thing I look back on and I have a little bit of regret. I wish I would’ve maybe cut Mexico a little earlier, and come back and did some stuff in the United States. I think there’s still a chapter to write, honestly.”

Real Reason SmackDown Superstars Competing for RAW Championship

Has this solved the Confusion?

We recently covered the confusion caused when Rhea Ripley (who was drafted from SmackDown to RAW) showed up with the SmackDown Women’s Championship rather than exchanging it with RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.

However, that’s the tip of the proverbial iceberg as fans are asking why the WWE announced that SmackDown Superstars will compete in the contest to crown a new world champion exclusive to RAW. Does the WWE feel there aren’t enough wrestlers on RAW to make a viable pool of contenders? Does the WWE want Roman Reigns to compete and win all three world titles? No, it turns out the WWE is motivated by ratings. Dave Meltzer discussed this on a recent Wrestling Observer Radio, pointing out that the WWE and AEW are concerned about the NBA playoffs’ cutting into their ratings:

“If people are wondering why the Raw World Title is in a tournament on SmackDown, this is the reason – because they know a normal show right now will do a poor number, so they cannot do a normal show this week. And AEW knows the same thing.”

Indeed, AEW is loading up tonight’s Dynamite with some major matches including a Steel Cage Match between The Blackpool Combat Club’s Jon Moxley and The Elite’s Kenny Omega. Meltzer added:

“Wrestling fans are definitely getting benefited greatly by the fact that both of these promotions know that this is a bad week with that Warriors/Lakers series.”

SmackDown will follow RAW’s format of two Triple Threat Matches with the winner of each bout squaring off to see who will face Seth Rollins at Night of Champions. AJ Styles, Bobby Lashley, Austin Theory, Rey Mysterio, Sheamus, and Edge are scheduled to square off which should make for an interesting night. Who do you think will win and battle Seth for the title?

Meet FIFA World Cup’s sexiest fan

How Knoll wowed her fans for Croatia

Her chequered pattern went right down to her shoes for the game versus ArgentinaKnoll wowed her fans on Instagram again

Croatia’s World Cup bombshell Ivana Knoll has left fans drooling over her latest Instagram post as the World Cup’s sexiest fan stuns in black lingerie while in California, Cameron Winstanley writes for Daily Star.

Ivana Knoll – dubbed the ‘World Cup’s sexiest fan’ has left fans drooling with steamy lingerie pictures.

The Croatian beauty showed off her incredible curves as she posed in an all black thong in front of a mirror while out in California. Knoll captioned the Instagram post with a chilli and a flame, with no words necessary to accommodate the sizzling post.

Knoll gained plenty of support from her 3.3million followers on Instagram, as her raunchy post received more than 300,000 likes and saw compliments come in droves in the comments section.

One fan commented: “The perfect woman might be YOU.”

A second said: “The first picture let me speechless….”

Other fans attempted to suggest a further career step for Knoll, one commented:

“You have to go to Brazzers.”

With another trying their luck, saying: “What are you waiting for to do porn?”

Knoll rose to fame during the 2022 World Cup as she was continuously spotted in the crowd during Croatia’s fixtures, but has since travelled to other sporting events around the globe.

The stunning brunette has recently been spotted at a Miami Heat NBA game before finding herself in the Ferrari paddock at the Miami Grand Prix.

Knoll’s presence was for potentially the first time unwelcomed by Ferrari who suffered a frustrating Miami GP, seeing Carlos Sainz finish in P5 and Charles Leclerc in P7 after he twice crashed out in practice and qualifying sessions.

She was also present at the Baku Grand Prix earlier this year, this time bringing better luck to Ferrari who saw Leclerc pick up the Prancing Horses’ maiden podium in 2023, with Sainz coming home in P5 in Ferrari’s best weekend of the season so far.

Knoll may have been enjoying a weekend relaxing away from the F1 circus as the pinnacle of motorsport took a break before the calendar continues next week, travelling to Italy for the first time in 2023 for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix and possibly seeing Knoll appear once again.

World Cup’s sexiest fan’s looks keep basketball court fans agog

Croatian bombshell Ivana Knoll has turned heads again as the World Cup’s sexiest fan almost burst out of her tight top while posing on Miami Heat’s NBA court over the weekend, Will Schofield writes for Daily Star.

The World Cup’s ‘sexiest fan’ Ivana Knoll has taken her talents stateside as she posed ahead of Miami Heat’s NBA clash.

Ivana posed on the court as fans looked on. The Croatian stunner partnered the outfit with some red leather boots and short jean booty shorts as cameras couldn’t hold enough of her.

The brunette captioned the snap: “@What a game! Thank you @miamiheat,” as the post racked up over 110,000 likes from her millions of followers. Fans showered Ivana with compliments and love heart emojis in the comments section.

It’s not the first time Ivana has been spotted at an NBA game – and shortly after earning headlines for her good looks at the World Cup, Ivana was spotted at the Miami Heat’s clash with the Brooklyn Nets.

On that occasion, fans had joked Ivana had been distracting players and referee’s at courtside. “Refs were looking at you on the last play than looking at the foul!”

And a Brooklyn fan joked: “You definitely distracted KD tonight, one of his worst games all season,” with another adding: “She no longer World Cup girl..she Miss Miami now.”

Ivana rocketed to fame at the World Cup – and speaking at the time she revealed: “The number of people who like me around the world is almost the same as the population of my country. The World Cup was amazing and I am sad it’s almost over.

La Liga giants first to make Osimhen contact

Prolific Nigerian striker could be Spain bound

Spanish giants Real Madrid have shown that your money goes where your mouth runs by being the first club to make ‘contact’ with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen as interest from Manchester United rages on, according to Italian reporter Giacomo Iacobellis via Fichajes.

Los Blancos have contacted the Nigeria forward over the likelihood of a transfer in the Summer transfer window. But, other notable clubs are also interested in signing the striker.

Aside the United, Premier League foes Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea have all indicated their interest in Osimhen at one point. Bundesliga top shots Bayern Munich have also been identified as a possible destination for the 24-year-old.

Osimhen made a commitment to Gli Azzurri (The Blues) during the transfer period of 2020 from Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille. The Nigerian has bloomed into a seasoned striker this season and has been the driving force behind the Serie A giants’ win of the Scudetto after 33 years of being denied.

The striker is tied down contractually to Napoli until June 2025. But, a move in the summer transfer season is still on course. However, the striker will not come cheap for interested clubs who stand to part with close to €160 million to sign the Nigeria striker.

Luciano Spalletti has been able to bring out the best qualities of Osimhen this season. The Nigerian has featured in 35 appearances in the season for Napoli, scoring 28 goals in all competitions.

However, weallfollowunited.com has noted that with Erik ten Hag’s advent in United, the manager had been forced to make do with Marcus Rashford as top striker. The 25-year-old is the United’s top goalscorer this term.

“Unfortunately, apart from the England international, none of our other attackers has contributed considerably under the Dutch manager. Also, the gaffer has had to deploy Rashford in the number nine position due to Anthony Martial’s fitness issues and Wout Weghorst’s apparent lack of quality,” weallfollowunited.com claimed.

Harry Kane is Man Utd’s primary target

And not Napoli man Victor Osimhen

Harry Kane's honest admission after Tottenham's win over Aston Villa - Mirror Online

While it has been rife in the rumor mill that Premier League giants Manchester United are interested in acquiring Serie A prolific scorer Victor Osimhen to Old Trafford, England striker Harry Kane is manager Erik Ten Hag’s main target for summer transfer.

Manchester United have been in the hunt for a striker since ending its association with Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo before the start of last year’s FIFA Men’s World Cup.

However, the £150m prized Napoli star Osimhen, has dominated the discussion as the major forward that is highly regarded by Ten Hag to replace Ronaldo in his forward line next season.

Manchester United do not see Victor Osimhen a primary target before the opening of summer transfer window, reporter Dean Jones has confided to GIVEMESPORT.

The Nigeria striker has been variously identified with a summer transfer from Napoli. Reports in Italy indicated that Manchester United and Chelsea are pushing the hardest in procuring Osimhen’s services, but according to GIVEMESPORT, the transaction could come at the hefty cost of £150m, a prize that United could have to mull over.

The 24-year-old sensation is having a transformational term under the Neapolitan sky and it’s expectedly drawing the attention of major European teams.

With Osimhen playing a major role in Napoli’s win of the Scudetto with a handful of games to yet to be played, the Serie A giants are highly prepped to go for the highest bidder when the bargaining for their star player begins.

Whether United are ready to cough up £150m for a player after past transfer blunders is a matter of opinion, but Osimhen has been clear about taking his skills to the Premier League before now.

He said: “I’m working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League some day, but like I said, it’s a process and I just want to keep up this momentum and continue to do well.”

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth recently informed GIVEMESPORT that Kane was on United’s transfer radar. Jones on the other hand, has indicated that the Nigeria forward is not the main target for United.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “I mean, I have always considered that this is going to be a really difficult one to do. Wherever we are actually looking in terms of landing spots for Osimhen, whether it’s been United or Chelsea or whoever else, no one’s ever, from my conversations anyway, outlined him as the prime target that they’ll do anything to get.

I think that that’s what it would probably take to actually land Osimhen because of the amount of money he’s going to cost in the next transfer window.”

TotalEnergies U17 AFCON One box ticked, one to go, says Mali’s Coulibaly

Mali head coach Soumaila Coulibaly during the 2023 Under 17 African Cup of Nations match between Congo and Mali held at the 19 May 1956 Stadium in Annaba

Mali’s entire arsenal will now be trained on Morocco and by extension a stab at reaching the final, after they waded through the quarters of the TotalEnergies U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) beating Congo 3-0.

Head coach Soumaila Coulibaly says having achieved their first target to qualify for the World Cup, they will give their all to earn a record extending third U17 AFCON title.

“The first objective was to do everything to qualify for the World Cup and now this is achieved. We will now prepare for the semi-final and then seek to win the title. Once again, we will give a good account of ourselves to win the title,” the tactician said after guiding his team to the victory over Congo.

He adds; “We will prepare and plan well against Morocco. We already know a bit about Morocco and they know us too so it will not be an easy match.”

Mali have won the U17 AFCON title twice, in 2015 and 2017 and are now looking to become only the first team to win the title three times.

Reflecting back to the victory over Congo, Coulibaly said it was a result of a perfect preparation and a good execution of tactics by his players.

“We watched Congo against Senegal and Algeria and we just needed to impose our style of play. We did well, but we still need to work because we are yet to reach the technical levels that I would want us to,” further noted the coach.

He will now hope to raise the levels further as they prepare for Morocco, a side that showed their ambition with a well worked win over hosts Algeria.

Morocco’s Chiba wary of a tough Mali side in semi-final duel

Morocco head coach Said Chiba during the 2023 Under 17 African Cup of Nations Morocco Press Conference held at the Mohamed Hamlaoui Stadium in Constantine

Morocco’s head coach Said Chiba has admitted his team faces an uphill task when they take on Mali in the semi-final of the TotalEnergies U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Constantine on Sunday.

The two sides faced off in two friendly matches before the tournament, Morocco winning the first match 1-0 while Mali won the second duel 2-1.

The Malian side has also been in brilliant form at the tournament so far, unbeaten and have not conceded a single goal.

“We know that we are going to face a very difficult team and we have seen how they have performed in the tournament so far. We know them well and we know what to expect. We will definitely make a good tactical plan to ensure we are in the best position to win,” says Chiba.

He adds; “We have tried to be in the best condition physically and mentally and we are also getting the players focused on what is ahead of us.”

Defender Saifdine Chlaghmo affirms as much, saying the players have a clear picture of the task at hand.

“We are enthusiastic to play against a big team like Mali. Chances are even for both of us because we have shown that we are strong candidates as well. The best team to use their opportunities on the pitch will win,” said the AS FAR player.

Saifdine Chlaghmo of Morocco during the 2023 Under 17 African Cup of Nations Morocco Press Conference held at the Mohamed Hamlaoui Stadium in Constantine

The coach says that despite already booking their ticket to the World Cup, this will not deter their focus and determination as they now want to try win the title for the first time ever.

“Psychologically, qualification for the World Cup has given us a motivation. We celebrated that night and it is over now. We have to put that euphoria behind us. We have a new target and a new ambition which is to reach the final,” said the tactician.

Chlaghmo says as much, that the players have their focus redefined. “We were happy and we celebrated, but now, the focus is to get to the final and that qualification is behind us.”

Meanwhile, Chiba has said they have received a lot of messages of support and congratulations from back home, including from senior team head coach Walid Regragui and that has given them an extra motivation.

“The whole country has been of huge support for us. Maybe it is not who has been in touch with us but who has not. That has given us hunger to try and do well,” Chiba noted.

The Atlas Cubs will be seeking a final ticket for the first time ever. Their best performance was in 2013 when they hosted the tournament, finishing in fourth place after losing their semi-final duel.

Antonio Conte for West Ham job

David Moyes could be sacked at end of the season

By Ed Emeanua

Calcio Mercato Web, reports that West Ham United are open to Antonio Conte assuming the role of new boss with the Club at the end of the season.

David Moyes is likely to leave the London Stadium following a highly disappointing football term, with the former Italy manager now eyed as his replacement in a very seemingly ambitious move by the Hammers.

The club performed credibly in the less illustrious Conference League this term even as their league form has posed a serious concern over Moyes’ technical and tactical grit.

The embattled coach was on the end of the chopping stick several times this season but, was able to always manage to save his neck each time with a respectable outing in the succeeding encounter.

Now, West Ham’s southern most placing on the Premier League catalog does not appear to mirror the club’s aims as well as the finance that it has poured into its ideas.

West Ham United is positioned as a well run club, with adequate monetary assets and players that can elevate the team into continental football.

Conference League triumph is now the only option open to West Ham to remain in European football come next season. Win or lose, it appears as if the club has decided to forage on at the end of the season without their current manager.

West Ham United are most likely to end their ties with Moyes, with some choices up for consideration because of several troubling outings.

Conte equally endured trying moments in his role at Tottenham this season, the hallmark of which was an outlandish outburst, the aftermath of the disappointing draw against Southampton, in which he lashed out at every sphere of Tottenham Hotspurs, not sparring club owners and even organizational ambitions.

The Hardtackle.com reports that Conte has been involved in same tiffs with past employers like Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan, but his abilities seemed to overshadow those side-shows, as he is remarkable for landing laurels wherever he ventures, with Tottenham now the only exception.

As the same Tottenham he most recently departed labors to find a suitable replacement, the Italian could effortlessly reemerge in London if he so desires. Even as the offer is still under consideration, West Ham United could just as well approach Conte with their pet project hoping to convince him to come onboard.

The Saints confirmed their relegation fate with a 0-2 home capitulation to vising Fulham at Saint Mary’s Stadium on Saturday, to book their ticket to Championship football next season.

Just at the same time, Taiwo Awoniyi’s gallantry-a brace of strikes on both halves-in Nottingham Forest 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, was only enough to get his side a temporary relegation reprieve.

The Nigeria striker and compatriot, Emmanuel Dennis, in tandem with their struggling Forest club, will live to fight another day as their onerous survival joust in English elite football drags mercilessly on till the end of the season.

Same goes for Alex Iwobi who fights on with his Everton teammates tomorrow in their crucial date with defending champions and current leaders, Manchester City at the Goodison Park.

kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi are also involved in the relegation war to avoid relegation from the Premier League at the end of the season.

Iheanacho and Ndidi’s struggling Leicester side are pitted in another crucial premier league tie against Champions League qualification chasing Liverpool on Monday at the King Power Stadium.

The overall permutation in the Premier League backwater fight is that forty points is enough to save any club from relegation at this stage.

With that in mind, West Ham on 37 points need just a win from their three remaining league games to avoid being relegated at the end of the season.

West Ham’s next involvements are against Brentford (away) on Sunday, May 14,  Leeds (home) on May 21, and Leicester (away) on final day (May 28).

With Southampton now relegated, two other sides among Leicester, Everton, Forest and West Ham must follow ‘The Saints’ on the same fate.
