Leaving no stone unturned in the effort to emerge victorious at the national sports festival

Oyo state will field 296 athletes in 32 different games at the 21st National Sports Festival Delta 2022, which is scheduled to kick off on November 28.
The biennial festival will run till December 10 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, Delta State.
Chairman of the Oyo State Sports Council, Honourable Gbenga Adewusi, ‘Arole,’ made this disclosure on Tuesday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
He disclosed that 50 technical officials from Oyo State were registered to officiate at Delta 2022. He added that the state is not leaving any stone unturned to ensure adequate preparation to emerge victorious at the Games.
Honorable Adewusi confirmed that some athletes are already in open camp in preparation for the Games, adding that Team Oyo aims to prove its performance at Delta 2022.
He stated: “We came fifth in the 2020 edition of the National Sports Festival held in Benin City and also emerged in second overall in the first National Para Games tagged Abuja 2022.
“We are all basking in the euphoria of the outstanding performance of our three weightlifters who recently won gold, silver, and bronze, respectively, at the Commonwealth Games,” he said.
