Plays striker through pain against Alanyaspor with risk to face Liverpool

Galatasaray will decide risking Turkish record signing Victor Osimhen to more injury for Liverpool Champions League visit on Tuesday.
The Turkey giants host ‘The Reds’ Midweek at the Rams Park, Istanbul, in their next Champions League date after playing their prized striker through his pain on Friday.
Okan Buruk’s Cim-Bom introduced the striker in the 85th minute, stretching their perfect start in their Super Lig push last weekend with a 1-0 win over Alanyaspor.
The home defeat over ‘Anatolian Eagles’ is Galatasaray’s record seventh Super Lig triumph on the trot since the beginning of the season.
The Liverpool Echo says the Turkish side hopes to have the Nigeria striker ready for their midweek Champions League clash with Liverpool.
Gala’ boss Buruk, admits imminent “risk” with the Nigerian’s health before the Liverpool game which will be both teams’ second Champions League tie of the season.
Osimhen injured his ankle while on international duty with Nigeria in a World Cup Qualification match against Rwanda on September 6 and has not played a game before last weekend.
The Echo reports Buruk, has clarified the judgment to hand the striker minutes on Friday night. in what was Osimhen’s first competitive game since August ending.
“We wanted to play him [Osimhen] for ten minutes today. We wanted him to experience the pain,” Buruk told reporters this week.
“Sometimes there’s pain, and it’s important to through pain. He’s not 100% physically ready. He hasn’t had a team training session since returning from the national team.”
