Echegini, Ajibade star in PSG UWCL loss

Narrow defeat for The Red and Blue against Real Madrid

Paris Saint-Germain’s women’s team lost 2-1 to Real Madrid CF in their UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage Matchday 2 clash at the PSG Campus on Thursday 16 October.

After their defeat against WfL Wolfsburg (4-0) in their opening match of the competition at the Wolfsburg Stadion last Wednesday, Les Rouge et Bleu played host to the Spanish side who had kicked off their campaign with a sensational 6-2 win over AS Roma at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano last week.

For the occasion, Paulo César fielded Mary Earps in goal behind a defence comprising Elisa De Almeida, Thiniba Samoura, Griedge Mbock and Olga Carmona. Joe Echegini, youngster Tanté Diakité and captain Sakina Karchaoui made up the midfield, while Merveille Kanjinga led the attack, flanked by Rasheedat Ajibade and Tara Elimbi Gilbert.

In their first European match of the season on home turf in Poissy, the Parisian side started the game well, with Kanjinga seeing her shot from the edge of the box blocked by Maëlle Lakrar at the last moment (8′). Ajibade almost caught Missa Rodriguez off guard with a cross-shot that skimmed the goal line (21′), but both Echegini’s and De Almeida’s follow-up shots were blocked (22′). However, the Madrid side responded and scored with their first opportunity. Sandie Toletti launched Yasmim down the left, and she crossed for Naomie Feller to open the scoring from six meters out (0-1, 29′).

The Parisians continued to push but their efforts went unrewarded and Real Madrid’s French international even went close to doubling the lead shortly afterwards – but Earps intervened (32′). Feller did provide the assist as the Spanish side made the break just before the half-time whistle, crossing from the left wing. Earps deflected Caroline Weir’s subsequent effort onto her right post, but Alba Redondo was on hand to tap home and widen the gap (0-2, 45+2′).

It was a cruel scenario, but Paris did not give up. After the restart, Ajibade narrowly missed the target (50′), Rodriguez deflected Echegini’s shot for a corner (56′), and Samoura’s point-blank shot was blocked by Mendez on the goal line (57′). Immediately afterwards, Echegini crossed and Karchaoui, on the right, cut inside and crossed to the far post for Ajibade, who headed home to cap off a strong spell and revive her side’s hopes (1-2, 58′).

As the minutes ticked by, the Parisians continued to give their all, but it was Las Blancas who had two chances at the very end of the match: Toletti went close with a free-kick from 20 meters (88′) and Athenea looked dangerous in the box (90’+2), but neither found the target. The Parisians’ last chance came when Ornella Graziani crossed for fellow substitute Romée Leuchter, but the Dutchwoman headed the ball over the bar (90’+4), and the French side were beaten.

The next European fixture for our Rouge et Bleues is another exciting one: a trip to England to take on Manchester United FC, currently fifth with six points, in their Matchday 3 clash at Old Trafford on Wednesday 12 November (21:00). To conclude this busy week, Paris – currently second in the table with nine points, just behind Lyon, will face RC Strasbourg Alsace, seventh with five points, in their Matchday 5 clash at the Stade de la Meinau on Sunday 19 October (21:00).

Fulham has singled out Nigeria internationals Calvin Bassey, Samuel Chukwueze and Alex Iwobi for praise over their contribution in Super Eagles’ World Cup qualifier 4-0 bashing of Benin.

The trio were vital in Éric Chelle side’s convincing win against the Cheetahs, firing Nigeria to one of the four playoff spot allotted to CAF by FIFA on the death, Tuesday in Uyo, Nigeria.

On Fulham’s website the Club described Nigeria’s playoff qualification as eventful, also recognizing the roles played by Nigeria’s three internationals on “The Cottagers,” books.

“A dramatic late goal proved decisive for Nigeria as they booked their place in the World Cup Play-Offs after beating both Lesotho and Benin,” the Club stated on its website.

“After a 2-1 victory over Lesotho, our Fulham trio knew a hefty victory over group leaders Benin would be needed to keep their destiny in their own hands.

“A Victor Osimhen hat-trick – the first two of which were brilliantly assisted by Samuel Chukwueze – wasn’t even going to be enough to confirm Nigeria’s place as one of the four best runners-up in qualifying, but a stoppage time effort from Frank Onyeka edged their goal difference high enough to sneak into the Play-Offs, where they will meet Gabon in November.

“Calvin Bassey played the full 180 minutes, Alex Iwobi all but two, while Chukwueze came off the bench against Lesotho, before starting and being replaced at half-time against Benin.”

Next international stop for the Fulham trio will be in Morocco where Super Eagles will clash with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang skippered Panthers on November 13.

Winners of that encounter goes through to the epic final of the CAF/FIFA 2026 WCQ playoff.

Nigeria or Gabon could potentially end up facing off with one of the pair of Cameroon or Democratic Republic of Congo who are set to clash same day in the other playoff semifinal game. The final game comes up three days later in Morocco.

AEW Dynamite and Collision Results

Allin Defies Moxley, Statlander and Storm Come to Blows, More

With just three days until AEW WrestleDream in St. Louis, we had three big hours of LIVE professional wrestling with AEW Dynamite and Collision in Kansas City on TBS and HBO Max!

Darby Allin and Jon Moxley had a very tense face-to-face meeting ahead of their “I Quit” match at WrestleDream that left Allin bloodied at the hands of PAC – although later in the night, Allin refused to stay down despite repeated attacks from the Death Riders. AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page watched from the commentary desk as his WrestleDream challenger, Samoa Joe, successfully defended the AEW World Trios Titles with The Opps. Page and Joe subsequently met in the ring, but kept the physicality for Saturday night.

Plus, the Famous Last Words from AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander and “Timeless” Toni Storm wound up as an agreed-upon fight between the two in the ring, Kenny Omega and Jurassic Express found common ground to beat the Don Callis Family and fought off an attack from the Young Bucks, and much more!

Here’s everything that happened on AEW Dynamite and Collision Title Tuesday for October 7, 2025, including your full results and match recaps.

We went back to this past Saturday on Collision, where Kota Ibushi was seriously injured because of a nasty fall in his match with Josh Alexander. As if that wasn’t enough, Mark Davis returned and attacked Ibushi to make the Don Callis Family even stronger until Kenny Omega ran him off. We were then reminded that Omega received an unexpected offer of support from “Jungle” Jack Perry because of their shared enemies, which set up tonight’s trios match with Omega and Jurassic Express teaming up to face the Family’s Davis, Hechicero and Josh Alexander!

Renee Paquette was sitting backstage with AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander and her challenger at WrestleDream, “Timeless” Toni Storm. As Paquette thanked them both for agreeing to no physicality, they began to disrobe, as if preparing for a fight. Renee yelled, “Enough,” as she took off her own jacket in frustration and cut off whatever was about to happen. She just wanted to find out where their heads were at before Saturday night.

Toni began, “Kris, it’s not you, it’s me. When I lost that title, I thought I’d feel freedom, a release of the years and tears I felt fighting for it. But I felt nothing. My canvas went blank. My heart only starts beating when I dream of winning it back. I am that title. Close your eyes and picture it, and it’s around this waist. I’ve done with that championship what no one else has done. And if that means fighting at my absolute best to take it away from a woman who I admire, then so be it. And if you are indeed my murderer, then so be that too. I don’t know who I am without that title, but darling, who are you?”

As the crowd gasped at that final question, Statlander confidently responded, “You’ve let this loss cause you to lose yourself, but you need to remember who you’ve been all along. Meanwhile, you’ve never been able to figure me out because I am constantly evolving. Who I am is a culmination of everything I was before. I’m already different than the person you faced at All Out. That was just a taste of who I will be. We are living in this world, and I am the champion of it. I am an extraordinary being. A killer as dangerous as the cosmos are large. A person who will outlive her doubters with her determination, her grit, her ability. And the most deserving of this prestige in this very moment no matter the timeline. So godspeed, Toni Storm, I will give you the rest you so deeply deserve.

Stom rose to her feet and put her hands on Statlander’s wrists, as she said, “Professional wrestling is a lie that reveals the truth. And we’ve told some ridiculous lies, but at WrestleDream we will find out the truth.”

Statlander stood up and responded, “Toni, you know the truth. You just have to accept it.”

Paquette tried to calm the tension, “OK, some very powerful words…”

Statlander said, “Is this interview over?” When Paquette confirmed it was, Storm said, “Good! Meet me in the ring!”

And with that, both Storm and Statlander removed their microphones and stormed away, as Renee helplessly watched them exit.

We went back to the commentary desk to assess what just happened, but the commentators were interrupted by Storm and Statlander heading down the aisle to get in the ring!

AND WE HAVE A FIGHT!

Storm took Statlander down with a Thesz Press and mounted her with punches, but Statlander bounced back up to hit Storm with a huge fireman’s carry slam!  As Statlander continued to get fired up, she turned around to see Storm handing her the AEW Women’s World Championship. Storm got down on her knees and offered a free shot with the title! Statlander refused, but she picked up Storm to continue the fight, so Storm knocked Statlander back with a headbutt. Statlander avoided a Storm Zero, but not a release German suplex, and now Storm was the one in control.

Statlander pulled a page out of Storm’s mind games playbook and handed her challenger the title to offer the same free shot while Statlander was on her knees! Storm reared back to swing, only to stop, put the title on Statlander’s shoulder and leave a kiss on her forehead.

As “Jungle” Jack Perry sat alone backstage, he had a message for Jurassic Express’ WrestleDream opponents, the Young Bucks.

“Bucks, I just wanna tell you, I don’t hate you. If I’m being fully honest, I love you guys, and I will always be grateful for everything you did for me, but when I needed you most, you didn’t pick up the phone. When I needed you most, you didn’t have my back. So I needed to look deep into my past to find somebody who would.”

That brought the snarl of Luchasaurus into the picture, who glared in a very menacing pose.

Coming off last week’s violent street fight, we’re set for another battle between The Hurt Syndicate and The Demand this Saturday at WrestleDream. Before that, though, the two sides met in tag action tonight in St. Louis.

Kaun and Benjamin began just as they ended last week, trading huge shots right in the middle of the ring. Benjamin gained early control and kept him in the wrong corner to allow Lashley to tag into the match. Lashley continued to grind down Kaun with a stalling suplex and shoulder thrusts, not letting him get close to Liona for a tag. Kaun tried to kick his way free, but Lashley answered right back, as the crowd expressed displeasure with being denied another Lashley-Liona showdown.

Kaun got free so that Liona could make a blind tag, but Lashley was ready for it and sent Liona immediately over the top to the outside. Ricochet distracted the referee so that Kaun could kick the middle rope into Lashley’s lower region. Liona took advantage and snatched Lashley off the apron right into a Samoan drop on the floor! The Demand continued the damage on the outside, using the guardrails and anything they could get away with, as Lashley struggled to fight back.

Finally, Lashley hit a desperation, overhead belly-to-belly suplex and made the tag to Benjamin! Liona tagged in Kaun on the other side, bringing us back to how this match started. Benjamin hit a splash in the corner and a high kick to stagger Kaun, but when he went for more, Ricochet jumped on the apron. Benjamin hit a step-up knee that made a sickening smack on Ricochet’s chin to send him sprawling to the floor.

Kaun rolled up Benjamin for a two, so Benjamin got up and hit two big release German suplexes, but Liona came in before he could hit a third. Benjamin dropped Liona with a pendulum DDT, only for Liona to get right back up! Liona then put Benjamin down with a headbutt. Lashley came back in and clotheslined Liona, who went outside!

Lashley followed Liona out and sprinted around the ring, but both men had the same idea with a clothesline and exploded in a heap when they connected! Back in the ring, Benjamin ran up the ropes and threw Kaun from the top. Before he could capitalize, Ricochet hit a Spirit Gun on Benjamin behind the referee’s back. MVP blasted Ricochet with his cane on the outside, but the damage was already done, which allowed Kaun to pin Benjamin for the victory! That’s the first pinfall loss for Benjamin and Lashley in AEW!

As Kaun celebrated, he never saw MVP get in the ring to smack him across the back with his cane. The Demand got him out of there to celebrate their victory, as Lashley and Benjamin stewed with MVP in the ring.

After a look back at Darby Allin’s surprise attack on Jon Moxley this past weekend at New York Comic Con, we saw the special face-to-face between Allin and Moxley from an undisclosed location earlier today.

With Allin waiting behind glass with a speaking screen surrounded by cement walls, Moxley entered the opposite side of the glass in a similar, separate room and spoke first.

“Heck of a situation we’ve got going on here. Let’s make sure we all understand the implications of an ‘I Quit’ match. In Toronto, there was zero chance you were going to put me in a coffin. The game was rigged. That was never gonna happen. This game is rigged in both directions. You will never quit. I’m certainly not going to quit. So what are we gonna do, man? I’m out of ideas. What do you wanna do? How’s this gonna end? If you want to be on the right side of history, it’s never too late…”

Allin cut him off, “It is, Jon. I wish I could, but I can’t. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about joining the Death Riders. I understand the cause. I understand what it is you’re trying to do. But it’s you, it’s you I don’t respect. This is about Danielson. I saw what you did to him. Why would I want to go to war with somebody who can stab his brother in the back. Why would I would want to go to war with someone that finds someone so disposable, someone they consider family?

Moxley was incredulous and said, “Bryan? You’re still talking about Bryan? I did the best I could for Bryan Danielson. This is a war for the future of our sport. This is a war for the future of our craft, and sacrifices need to be made. Hard decisions have to be made. That isn’t tough for me? You don’t know what sacrifice is. You don’t know what it’s like to have weight on your shoulders. None of you do.”

Allin responded, “When I was on top of Everest, and I held that flag on top of the world, I saw AEW represents freedom. And I see what you’re doing. You’re slowly chipping away at everything that represents this place. Everything that makes this place special. And I’m gonna hang that flag in my house and remind myself every day what AEW gives me. But before I do, I’m gonna wrap it around your throat. And when you say the words ‘I quit’ at WrestleDream, all the Death Riders that blindly follow you are gonna realize that your words don’t mean a thing. And this whole operation you’re running is gonna come crashing down.”

Moxley, still calm, said, “It might not mean anything to you, Darby, but I have never lied to you. Your opponent at WrestleDream is not me. It never has been. It’s never the guy standing across from you, no. Every time you go to the ring, every time you climb a mountain, every time you jump your skateboard off the top of a building or a bridge, or you set yourself on fire and shoot yourself out of a cannon, you’re fighting ghosts. The spirits, demons of the past, whatever it is. Not my business. But I played that game. I played that game a lot. I fought a lot of ghosts, and it never ends well. Chasing highs, trying to prove to the world that you are indestructible in the most literal sense. That is a selfish game, and I am not selfish. The biggest difference between me and you going into WrestleDream is the thing you cannot get through your head. This is not about me!”

All of a sudden, PAC attacked Allin from behind, repeatedly slamming his head into the table. As Moxley almost ignored the sight of what was happening through the glass, PAC ragdolled Allin back and forth off the walls! He finished off his attack by ramming Allin into the glass over and over, as more and more of Allin’s blood was left to drip down. Moxley quietly left his room, as we saw PAC standing over the battered Allin.

As we returned to live action, Moxley, PAC, and Marina Shafir entered the arena from outside.

After those chilling events earlier today, Castagnoli came to the ring alone, as did Strong, with his partner Kyle O’Reilly in action later tonight alongside Orange Cassidy against Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia of the Death Riders.

Castagnoli and Strong grappled down to the mat and back up before Castagnoli fired off a huge uppercut. That staggered Strong for a moment, but he came right back with chops. Strong had the advantage in the corner, but another uppercut got Castagnoli right back in control. He stayed on Strong with headlocks, breaking them off when necessary to subdue Strong with strikes.

Strong got back up to his feet only for Castagnoli to hit a lunging boot, sending Strong to the floor. As Strong returned to the apron, Castagnoli met him, although neither man could execute a suplex, so Strong lured Castagnoli through the ropes and dropped him with a backbreaker on the edge of the ring! With Castagnoli struggling to get up, Strong went for a double boot under the second rope, but right into the waiting arms of Castagnoli. The anticipation allowed Castagnoli to swing Strong into the guardrail with a smack heard throughout the arena!

For the first time in the match, one of the two men had control for an extended period, as Castagnoli continued to wear out Strong with rapid-fire uppercuts in the corner. Strong showed signs of life with a dropkick, which allowed him the chance to recover. Castagnoli cut off Strong’s elbow strike combo to drop him with a clothesline for a two count. Another set of uppercuts in the corner led to a big slam, although Strong refused to stay down for three.

Strong fought through another swing attempt and battled back with some flying kicks to send Claudio outside. A second attempt at the double boots through the ropes found its mark on Castagnoli, so Strong followed him out for a high-angle backbreaker across the top of the guardrail!

Strong and Castagnoli went back and forth on the top rope, with Strong finally getting the best of the exchange when he dropped Castagnoli back-first across the top turnbuckle. Just when it looked like Strong had control, Castagnoli blocked a leaping knee attempt and shoved Strong up in the air to finish him off with an uppercut out of nowhere for the win! That’s his 100th win in AEW!

We were treated to a look at Don Callis’ birthday celebration, with almost all of his Family in attendance. As they serenaded him and sat to eat, Callis gave them a State of the Family address about their growing numbers translating to power. Before they got to gifts, TNT Champion “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher revealed a video message from Konosuke Takeshita, who said he would win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship from Zack Sabre Jr. for Callis. However, we never saw the end of his message because AEW Unified Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada hit something on the remote to turn it off.

When Callis wondered what had happened, Okada responded, “I pressed the wrong button. I’m sorry.”

Callis said, “All good, boss.” And they all toasted to the Family.

We then saw highlights of Takeshita defeating Sabre Jr. to win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship this past weekend at NJPW King of Pro Wrestling 2025!

Omega waved off Jurassic Express to start the match and called for Alexander to join him. After thinking about it, Alexander let Hechicero start things with Omega.

Within a minute of the match starting, Hechicero caught Omega’s left leg in an awkward position and tried to stay on it with his impressive array of submission wrestling. Luckily, Omega recovered enough to launch himself onto Hechicero with a plancha to the outside, but when he went after Alexander, Davis was waiting to flatten Omega with a clothesline. Back in the ring, each member of the Family clotheslined Omega in the corner after Alexander tagged back in the match.

Alexander tried to target the left leg, but Omega fought him off and finally made a desperation tag to Perry! Perry and Luchasaurus made quick tags, showing fantastic teamwork to take down Alexander. Davis tagged in and shoulder-blocked Perry right out of the ring! Perry got stuck in the wrong corner, as all three members of the Family worked him over with no end in sight. A brief opening to make a tag was closed when Hechicero and Davis ran around the ring to take out Omega and Luchasaurus so that Perry couldn’t make a tag. Alexander trapped Perry in an ankle lock, although he was able to kick loose, but there was no one in his corner to tag!

Omega took his time walking up to the apron and reached out for the tag, which was met with a massive ovation from the Kansas City crowd! Omega hit the fireman’s carry into a moonsault, but it only got a two! Callis picked Omega’s ankle and hung on to hit a pair of German suplexes. Omega blocked a third and ran through Alexander with a huge knee, which looked like it would be enough only for Alexander to grab the rope to break the count just in time.

Luchasaurus and Davis tagged in to exchange huge shots before taking each other out with clotheslines. Perry came back in with a DDT on Alexander, only for Hechicero to put him down with a swinging hammerlock. Omega took out Hechicero with a knee, but Davis knocked Omega out of the way with a right hand. That brought us back to Davis and Luchasaurus, who stunned Davis with a big shot. Omega tagged back in and looked primed for a V-Trigger on Davis until Callis got off commentary and distracted him, long enough for Alexander to chop block his bad leg.

Davis tried to take Omega’s head off with a lariat, but Perry shoved Omega out of the way to take the bullet! With a chance to recover, Omega chopped away at Davis, but the bigger man stuffed Omega with a quick piledriver to get a two count. Hechicero came back and went for a cross armbreaker on Omega, which Alexander tried to defend, but he was chokeslammed by Luchasaurus onto Hechicero to break the hold! Omega showed no hesitation in making the tag to Perry and charged back across the ring to take out Davis with a knee.

Luchasaurus got Hechicero on his shoulders so Perry could hit a Doomsday Device for the win! Omega, Perry, and Luchasaurus celebrated until Matt and Nick Jackson ran out to attack! They dropped Luchasaurus with tandem superkicks and did the same to Perry! Omega looked stunned seeing this from the outside, but ran in to pull Perry away from further damage. The Young Bucks and Omega argued until the Jacksons turned around into a double clothesline from Luchasaurus. Omega, Perry, and Luchasaurus fought off the Family, with Perry getting some help from Luchasaurus to take them and the Bucks out with a moonsault!

Despite the vicious rivalry between Hayter and Triangle of Madness, this match started with some fundamental wrestling on the mat before Blue took the first big shot at Hayter, which only seemed to wake up Hayter. Blue had no chance trading shots with her, as Hayter both figuratively and literally flexed her strength, beating Blue down to the mat. She kept the punishment up with pointed elbow strikes and lit Blue up with 10 punches in the corner. A snap suplex got a two count, so Hayter followed with a second, and Blue bailed to the floor. Julia Hart stepped in Hayter’s way, so Blue took advantage with a thrust kick and then a dangerous neckbreaker from the apron! The numbers game was a crucial factor in the success of Triangle of Madness.

Blue slowed the pace down but didn’t give Hayter many chances to recover. A desperation suplex followed by a second-rope dropkick got Hayter rolling once again. After a clothesline in the corner, Hayter threw Blue with an exploder suplex and tried a pin to no avail. The two traded multiple reversals until Hayter finally hit the backbreaker across her knee she’d been looking for all match.

As Blue lured Hayter to the outside on the apron, she blasted Hayter with a knee, although her attempt to follow up was caught by Hayter on the floor and turned into a fallway slam, as Blue cried out in pain!  Hayter dropped Blue with a neckbreaker across her knee and a low clothesline, but Blue kicked out! Blue reversed a Hayterade attempt into Sliced Bread, which almost won the match.

Blue came off the ropes right into a huge clothesline, so Hayter finished her off with Hayterade and the pin for the win!

Thekla appeared somewhere in the back and was clapping. She said, “Congratulations! Not to you, but to me. Because look how far I’ve made it! Misunderstood in Europe. Kicked out of Japan. I’ve been around the world, Jamie, and I’m not impressed. The reason I attacked you in May was that you were just there. Wrong place at the wrong time, and now you are again. My game has no rules because my name means chaos, and my name means poison, baby, and on Saturday, it’s gonna get toxic to the core. So come on, Jamie. Impress me.”

With all 10 of her championships on display, TBS Champion Mercedes Moné spoke with Renee Paquette, suggesting she should now be called, “The greatest of all-time, Ultimo Moné.”

Renee tried to ask about WrestleDream, but Moné reminded her that she’s defending the CMLL Women’s Championship against Persephone in Arena México on Friday. But also on Friday, she’ll become the longest reigning TBS Champion in history at 509 days. Moné said she’ll be coming to WrestleDream with all 10 of her titles and as the longest reigning TBS Champion of all time!

AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page joined the commentary desk to watch his WrestleDream challenger, Samoa Joe, defend the AEW World Trios Titles against LFI.

Hobbs and Beast Mortos gave us plenty of beef to get things started, as Hobbs pounded away on Mortos with clotheslines in the corner, although that ended when a Dralístico distraction gave Mortos the chance to hit a slingblade to Hobbs from the middle rope! Hobbs came back with a jumping shoulder tackle, so one half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions, RUSH, tagged in for the first time. He called for the man who made the challenge for this match, Shibata, and got his wish with Hobbs making the tag. Shibata and RUSH went back and forth with strikes and chops before exchanging German suplexes. Shibata hit a desperation STO to put both men down, which brought Joe and Mortos into the match.

The crowd loved the face-off and came alive even more as Joe pounded away at Mortos in the corner. Shibata tagged back in and set up Mortos for a PK but made a detour with a big boot to RUSH on the apron. Dralístico and Mortos immediately jumped on Shibata until RUSH recovered to join in for a three-on-one attack, including a triple dropkick to put Shibata in big trouble.

Mortos and Dralístico hit a double-team wheelbarrow spear that bounced Shibata’s head off the bottom rope, yet he still kicked out in the nick of time. Dralístico tried to pound away at Shibata in the corner, but Shibata came firing out with a big boot and returned the favor with his own strikes. Hobbs tagged back in and put all three members of LFI in the corner.

Initially, RUSH booted his way out only to go down alongside Mortos at the hands of a Hobbs’ double clothesline. Hobbs caught Dralístico coming off the top rope and slammed him hard with the World’s Most Dangerous Slam. Hobbs tagged Joe, who looked like a man possessed as he hammered away on Dralístico. Dralístico found enough separation to get to the top rope, but jumped right into Joe’s waiting arms. With the Coquina Clutch locked in deep, Dralístico had no choice but to tap out.

Joe looked at Hangman from the apron, only for LFI to attack from behind, now with the other half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions, Sammy Guervara, giving them a four-on-three advantage. For some reason, RUSH spat at Hangman, so Page excused himself from the commentary desk and hit the ring to go after LFI. He nearly hit the Buckshot Lariat on RUSH, but Guevara pulled his partner from the ring. Joe picked up the AEW World Championship and slammed it into Page’s chest before leaving the ring to end the Dynamite portion of the evening, as we got ready for the final hour of the night with Collision!

This was the first time we’d seen Garcia and Yuta tag together as part of the Death Riders, even though they had history as rivals in ROH. Orange Cassidy and Yuta were about to start things off in a battle of former Best Friends, but Yuta decided against it, so Garcia took over. Garcia tried to show up Cassidy with his mat wrestling, so OC responded by busting out Garcia’s old dance. The frustration came out in Garcia, which OC was able to take advantage of so he could bring in O’Reilly.

Some beautiful Conglomerating resulted in Cassidy and O’Reilly chopping away at both Yuta and Garcia. When Garcia tried to pull Yuta out of the ring, they were both dropped by stereo suplexes on the floor. The Death Riders fought back by using the guardrails to punish their opponents, including a brainbuster to Cassidy on top of the barrier. In the ring, Garcia and Yuta rained down elbows on a wide-open O’Reilly, who had no one to tag. O’Reilly tried to fight back with kicks and eventually took both down with dragon screw leg whips. Cassidy tagged back in, and it was time to sink those hands deep in his pockets. Garcia and Yuta charged, but Cassidy was ready. He dropped Garcia with Sole Food and was ahead of both men every time they tried to attack, including a DDT to spike Yuta. Garcia floored OC with a blind side, so Cassidy came right back with a Beach Break that nearly put Garcia away!

Cassidy called for the Orange Punch on Garcia, only for Yuta to cut him off with a slam. As Jon Moxley made his way through the crowd, Cassidy hit a Stundog Millionaire on Yuta and then held him for O’Reilly to deliver a devastating kick. O’Reilly and Garcia jockeyed for position until O’Reilly locked in a dragon sleeper. At the same time, Cassidy knocked Yuta off the apron with an Orange Punch and followed that with a dive to the outside as Moxley watched from a short distance.

Back in the ring, Garcia tapped out, but the referee never saw it because he was distracted by Marina Shafir. On the outside of the ring, PAC arrived to take out Cassidy, only to walk right into a flying knee from O’Reilly coming off the apron. Unfortunately for O’Reilly, Castagnoli also arrived at ringside and flattened him with an uppercut as the referee remained distracted by Shafir. O’Reilly was tossed back in the ring, so Garcia quickly covered him for the win.

After the match, the Death Riders continued the attack until Roderick Strong and Tomohiro Ishii hit the ring to make the save, but the numbers were still too much. With the ring cleared, Moxley entered with a microphone. Before he could say a word, Allin’s music hit, and he stumbled to the top of the ramp, still suffering the effects of PAC’s attack earlier in the day.

As Allin labored coming down the aisle, Castagnoli met him with a vicious uppercut. Allin staggered back up and was put right back down with a boot from PAC. As Allin bled from his reopened wound, he continued to crawl to the ring, so Garcia and Yuta attacked, but Allin got back up and pulled his way into the ring, as the Conglomeration and Paragon fought the other Death Riders to the back.

Allin pulled the AEW flag he brought to the top of Mount Everest from his jacket and laid it at Moxley’s feet. The very same flag he promised to choke Moxley out with earlier today. Now, Allin had the microphone, gasping for air from his knees.

“It’s never too late, Jon…to say ‘I quit.’”

Allin outstretched his arms, so Moxley grabbed him and spiked him on the flag with a Death Rider before exiting with Shafir in a final statement before WrestleDream.

Despite this being a one-on-one match, Bayne came to the ring with FTR and Big Stoke, who gave Bayne a microphone. She asked Willow Nightingale how it felt to give everything she had, and it still wasn’t good enough. Bayne continued, “Now, you’re tagging in a new friend, but that doesn’t make you a fighter; it makes you look stupid. I guess I didn’t beat it through your skull hard enough, so maybe watching me tear Harley apart tonight will finally make you quit. It may be fun to play the hero, but your fate will always be the same, bowing down to me.”

Stoke ran down both Willow and JetSpeed, letting them know how much he hates them. He wondered why Kevin Knight wasted his potential hanging out with “Speedball” Mike Bailey. He said they will end this on Saturday and will put their focus back on the AEW World Tag Team Championships.

Dax Harwood let everyone know that “Daddy” was speaking and that JetSpeed had one opportunity to write their names in the immortal book of life. Harwood ran through all of FTR’s accomplishments, as Kansas City let him know that they’d rather have him stay quiet. Before Wheeler could get much more out, JetSpeed, Nightingale and Cameron appeared on the screen. JetSpeed said they were tired of hearing him talk, and it was time to get down to action. Cameron said she knew what FTR stood for, “Fear the Rath.” The four then tried to figure out the spelling issues and decided to go to the ring, but we found out that it was a video from earlier because Nightingale and Cameron were already in the ring and spiked Bayne with a double DDT!

Bailey and Knight were on the top ropes and took out FTR as they were paying attention to Nightingale and Cameron. Everyone started brawling in the ring, as Nightingale and Cameron clotheslined Bayne over the top, and Harwood took a Willow spinebuster, followed by a UFO from Knight!

Finally, the bell rang, and an angry Bayne immediately went on the attack against Cameron. Bayne’s power was on display as she crushed Cameron in the corner and then threw her across the ring. Two bodyslams put Cameron down, but she got out of a third and choked Bayne over the ropes with her legs. Bayne fought back and stopped Cameron on the top rope to bring her in the hard way. Cameron did everything she could to fight from behind, but it was a mistake from Bayne that got Cameron back in the match. She cut off Bayne on the top turnbuckle and trapped her in the tree of woe. After hammering away at the helpless Bayne, Cameron followed with a DDT for a two count!

Bayne fought back with a Falcon Arrow, but this time, Cameron kicked out. Bayne put Cameron on her shoulders and climbed to the second rope, only for Cameron to escape with a sunset flip from the top for a nearfall. Cameron hit a pair of clotheslines in the corner, although the biggest shot was a flying clothesline by Bayne to get out of the corner. Bayne tried to make Cameron bow down with Fate’s Descent, yet somehow Cameron kicked out again! Cameron showed one more flash of hope, but Bayne ended the match with a running Liger bomb!

With two singles wins over LFI, Kingston wants to move on from them and focus on the tag ranks with HOOK. So they’ll be at AEW Saturday Tailgate Brawl if anyone wants some!

Alicia Atout was with Anthony Bowens and Max Caster, who both refused to tag with each other ever again despite two straight wins as a team. As they continued to argue about plaques, Atout reminded them that they may not have much of a say in this. With that, Bowens pleaded to Tony Khan to stop any future matches with Caster, and Caster requested the same. When they both walked away, Atout referred to them as The Acclaimed, prompting them to return and deny the name before leaving again.

Briscoe started for his side but didn’t get to Fletcher until he had to fight through Romero and Archer first. Three days before they battle for the TNT Title at WrestleDream, we then got a short preview of Fletcher and Briscoe before Brodido joined Briscoe to triple-team Fletcher!

Unfortunately, Brody King still refused to dance with Bandido. Fletcher took advantage with a cheap shot and stayed in control until a double clothesline dropped both men. King and Archer tagged in, with King nearly finishing Archer with a Death Valley Driver. Bandido tagged in, but Archer was able to separate them with a crossbody to King. Bandido tried to slam Archer until his already-injured shoulder gave way. Archer, Fletcher, and Romero now showed their triple-team offense to target Bandido, although he refused to stay down!

Fletcher took Briscoe and King down with half-and-half suplexes and aimed at Bandido, but the ROH World Champion was waiting with a kick! King and Briscoe recovered to go after Romero, who Bandido dropped with a press slam! Fletcher saved Romero before he was pinned and then started trading blows with Briscoe in the middle of the ring until Fletcher ended up on the outside. Briscoe followed with a running blockbuster from the apron! Brodido then hit a double-team sitdown piledriver on Romero to get the win for their team in the main event!

Fletcher and Briscoe fought to the back, as Brodido celebrated in the ring. El Clon showed up at the top of the ramp, but that was just a distraction for Kazuchika Okada to attack Brodido from behind. He hit King with his AEW Unified Championship and put down Bandido with a Rainmaker before posing with both AEW World Tag Team Championships just three days before he and Konosuke Takeshita will challenge for those titles at WrestleDream!

That will do it from Kansas City. We’ll see you on Saturday night for AEW Saturday Tailgate Brawl and WrestleDream from St. Louis!

Gabon assures Nigeria of Playoff headache

Aubameyang, Mouyouma fire warning ahead of next months WCQ playoff against Nigeria

By Ed Emeanua

Gabon captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and ‘The Panthers’ manager Thierry Mouyouma have talked up a note firing warnings to oppositions ahead of FIFA WCQ playoffs.

They assure Gabon will leave no stone unturned when ‘The Panthers’ clash with Nigeria in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification playoffs.
Gabon captain and Olympique Marseille striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang promises stiff opposition when he leads out Gabon against Nigeria in their semi-final game against Nigeria on November 13 in Morocco.
“We want to go to the World Cup and, to get there, we have to win games,” Aubameyang told The Standard after Gabon’s 2-0 win against Burundi on Tuesday.
“I’m very motivated, and when you have the chance to go to the World Cup, you have to be even more motivated.”
Fifty-year-old boss Mouyouma, a former Panthers skipper hopes to unleash the core of his squad in upcoming fixtures in hope of building national pride and unity.
“He (Aubameyang) plays a fundamental role as a technical leader. He remains one of our captains and maintains exemplary motivation,” Mouyouma told CAFonline in a recent interview.
“In my view, he should have won the African Player of The Year award at a time when his statistics spoke for themselves. For fifteen years, no African striker has shown such consistency.
“Scoring four goals in a qualifying match is exceptional. He proves that age is just a number. His mentality, desire, and professionalism benefit everyone, players and staff alike.
Gabon’s manager also feels other veterans like Denis Bouanga and Bruno Ecuélé Manga are important to achieving his football philosophy with Panthers.
“They are essential in passing on experience,” he said of Bouanga and Ecuélé Manga.
“With players like Mario Lemina, Aaron Appindangoyé, Guelor Kanga, or Jim Allevinah, they form the core of the team.
“Their influence goes beyond the pitch: they bring discipline, rigor, and a model of behavior. This disciplinary reconstruction is one of our greatest achievements.”

The upcoming World Cup playoff is a knockout tournament that includes Cameroon and DR Congo, with all matches to be played in Morocco. The winner of the tournament will move on to the intercontinental playoffs for a second chance to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

Here is a summary of the African play-off format:
Match
Date Teams Winner Advances To
Semi-final 1 November 13, 2025 Nigeria vs. Gabon Final
Semi-final 2 November 13, 2025 Cameroon vs. DR Congo Final
Final November 16, 2025 Winner Semi-final 1 vs. Winner Semi-final 2 Intercontinental Play-offs

Gabon, along with DR Congo, Cameroon, and Nigeria, were the four best runners-up in the CAF first round of qualifying and will compete in the play-offs. Gabon will face Nigeria in their semi-final match, while Cameroon will play DR Congo. These single-elimination matches determine which team will represent Africa in the inter-confederation play-offs.

Gabon has demonstrated sterner performances in the qualifiers, with Bouanga among the top scorers in the CAF qualifiers. Gabon’s star striker Aubameyang has also shown excellent form, including scoring all four goals in a recent thrilling win against Gambia.

However, Gabon’s away form might be a factor, as all playoff matches will be played on neutral ground in Morocco.

What is known about Gabon’s recent World Cup qualifiers

  • Most recent squad: An announcement from late August 2025 detailing the squad for World Cup qualifying matches against Seychelles and Côte d’Ivoire included foreign-born players such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mario Lemina, and Denis Bouanga.
  • A recent top performance: In an October 2025 match against Gambia, Aubameyang scored four goals to lead the team to a 4–3 comeback victory.
  • The need for playoffs: After the last matchday in October 2025, Gabon is competing for a playoff spot as one of the best runners-up in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) World Cup qualifiers
Gabon has successfully secured a spot in the CAF play-offs for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification.
The Panthers finished as the runner-up in Group F, one point behind Ivory Coast, to advance to the second round. The African play-offs, hosted in Morocco, will determine which CAF team participates in the FIFA Play-Off Tournament for the 2026 World Cup.
Three new players were included in Gabon’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Seychelles and Kenya earlier this year, according to Thierry Mouyouma. The players are:
Player
Position
Nzé Samaké Midfielder
Yoann Nani Nono Forward
Mobili Van Forward
According to CAFOnline.com, André Poko also returned to the squad for the qualifiers.

Thierry Mouyouma unveils Gabon AFCON Mission

0

‘Making our people proud is our driving force’ he says

Gabon boss Thierry Mouyouma is a man on a mission-the African Cup of Nation in December is a familiar platform for ‘The Panthers’ manager drive his mission to fulfillment.

In this interview with CAFonline Mouyouma revealed what drives him on his new footballing dispensation.

Excerpts.

  • Thierry Mouyouma approaches the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2025 with confidence and ambition.
  • He has confidence in his Gabonese support staff and a strong national identity.
  • Gabon is in Group E with Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, and Mozambique.

Appointed head coach in October 2023, Thierry Mouyouma quickly has already made his mark with the Panthers.

Having been the national team captain in the early 2000s, he understands the weight of the jersey and the demands of major African competitions, having participated in the 2000 TotalEnergies CAF AFCON in Ghana and in Nigeria.

This experience, combined with his  knowledge of Gabonese football, allows him to build a solid and ambitious squad.

Results have followed: Gabon qualified for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, and holds a playoff spot for the 2026 World Cup, proving that his methods are effective.

Mouyouma aims to reach a historic milestone: surpass the quarterfinals, achieved only in 1996 and 2012. But his project goes beyond sports. He wants this team to be a symbol of national unity, capable of bringing Gabonese people together around a common goal.

Between the experience of veterans like Aubameyang, Bouanga, and Bruno Ecuele Manga, and the energy of young talents, Mouyouma focuses on perfect balance. His philosophy is clear: discipline, solidarity, and national pride.

In this exclusive sit down with CAFOnline, Mouyouma shares his views on the tournament, what it means for Gabon and the importance of striking a fine balance between the experienced campaigners and carefully blending it with youth.

CAFOnline.com: Coach, what mindset are you approaching the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2025 with?

Thierry Mouyouma: We are in a very good mental and physical state. Our players are competing with their clubs, and if the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations started today, I believe we would be emotionally ready. We still need to fine-tune some details, because in major competitions, it is often these small adjustments that make the difference. We will face quality opponents, so we must be ready at all levels.

CAFOnline.com: Your group includes Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, and Mozambique. What is your view of this group?

Thierry Mouyouma: It’s a very interesting group. In Africa, there is no good or bad draw: it all depends on the final result. With a team progressing mentally, technically, tactically, and physically, starting against Cameroon is an advantage. It will be a Central African derby. Then we face Mozambique. My objective is to secure qualification by the second match so that we can rotate the squad for the third game.

CAFOnline.com: What lessons have you learned from the qualifiers?

Thierry Mouyouma: Qualifiers are very different from a final tournament. We played six matches in three months, with long travels to Morocco, South Africa, Central African Republic… It was demanding. After an initial defeat, it required very strong organization and focus to bounce back. Qualification was essential, especially after our absence in 2023. The final tournament, with three closely scheduled matches (December 24, 28, and 31), requires a different mental and logistical approach.

CAFOnline.com: You chose to work with a mostly Gabonese staff. What does that mean to you?

Thierry Mouyouma: I would like to thank Mr. Pierre-Alain Mounguengui, our President of the Gabonese Football Federation, for his courage and vision, supported by the Head of State. Our staff is 80% Gabonese, with a few foreign experts in specific roles (goalkeeper coach, physiotherapist-osteopath, video analyst…). But it was crucial to ensure local knowledge transfer.

Being a national staff comes with more pressure than an expatriate staff because expectations are different. But it also proves that we have the quality and deserving people who can make our nation proud.

CAFOnline.com: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang remains an iconic figure. What role does he play in your squad today?

Thierry Mouyouma: He plays a fundamental role as a technical leader. He remains one of our captains and maintains exemplary motivation. In my view, he should have won the African Player of The Year award at a time when his statistics spoke for themselves. For fifteen years, no African striker has shown such consistency. Scoring four goals in a qualifying match is exceptional. He proves that age is just a number. His mentality, desire, and professionalism benefit everyone, players and staff alike.

CAFOnline.com: And what about other veterans like Denis Bouanga or Bruno Ecuélé Manga?

Thierry Mouyouma: They are essential in passing on experience. With players like Mario Lemina, Aaron Appindangoyé, Guelor Kanga, or Jim Allevinah, they form the core of the team. Their influence goes beyond the pitch: they bring discipline, rigor, and a model of behavior. This disciplinary reconstruction is one of our greatest achievements.

CAFOnline.com: You often talk about restoring pride to the Gabonese people. What does this mean to you?

Thierry Mouyouma: We are ambassadors of our nation. The national team reflects the country in miniature. On the pitch, we represent dignity, respect, and the unity of the Gabonese people. Our results directly affect the mood of our compatriots, and that deeply motivates us. Football is a source of joy and cohesion. When Gabonese people rally around their team, it goes beyond sport: it’s an act of national unity.

CAFOnline.com: Gabon reached two AFCON quarterfinals, in 1996 and 2012. What do you take from this history?

Thierry Mouyouma: The 1996 AFCON was a turning point: it was Gabon’s first time in the quarterfinals. The 2012 edition, hosted at home, generated immense public enthusiasm. Today, our goal is clear: surpass this stage and break the ceiling. In 1996, the coach, Mr. Alain Da Costa Soares, was a local technician, an example for me.

CAFOnline.com: Do you think the current generation has the means to go further than previous ones?

Thierry Mouyouma: Yes. We have a balanced mix of veterans, intermediate generation, and promising youngsters. The fearlessness of the new players can be a major asset. Combined with the experience of the seniors, we have the tools to go beyond the first round and, why not, reach the semifinals. The collective experience we have built will be decisive.

CAFOnline.com: Finally, if you had one wish for this TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, what would it be?

Thierry Mouyouma: I have three wishes:

  1. That my players enter preparation in the best physical and mental condition, as many will still be competing with their clubs until mid-December.
  2. That Gabon has a great run in this AFCON.
  3. That this competition helps strengthen our national unity. The Africa Cup of Nations is important for Gabon: when the country looks in the same direction, it becomes unbeatable.

AEW Dynamite Preview: October 7, 2025

0

Hangman & Samoa Joe Face-to-Face, PAC vs Orange Cassidy, More on Title Tuesday

AEW Dynamite Preview

We’re kicking off AEW Homecoming week with Title Tuesday on AEW Dynamite, coming to you from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida for 2.5 HOURS on a special TUESDAY night, LIVE at 8/7c on TBS and streaming on HBO Max!

The animosity between AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page and Samoa Joe exploded last week after their successful Trios victory, so much so that Page has given Joe a chance to regain the AEW World Championship in 11 days at AEW WrestleDream. But before that, they will come face-to-face on Title Tuesday!

In a special Double Jeopardy Eliminator Match, AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido face AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita of the Don Callis Family. If either Bandido or Brody King get the win, they can challenge for Okada’s AEW Unified Championship, but if they lose, Okada and Takeshita earn an AEW World Tag Team Title shot! And speaking of The Family, the TNT Championship will be on the line when TNT Champion “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher tries to fend off the challenge of Kyle O’Reilly in Kyle vs. Kyle 2!

On AEW Collision, PAC confronted Orange Cassidy with a challenge to renew their rivalry, and promised no interference to keep it one-on-one, so tonight on Title Tuesday, they’ll meet in singles competition for the first time in three years!  TBS Champion “The CEO” Mercedes Moné will have an open challenge for her TBS Championship, and because it will be the first time she wrestles at Daily’s Place, Moné wants an opponent from Florida. All that and much, much more to celebrate our return to Jacksonville!

Here’s your complete AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday preview for October 7, 2025.

AEW Dynamite Matches, Preview for Tuesday, October 7

AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page & Samoa Joe Face-to-Face

Just one week ago, Hangman and Samoa Joe were partners alongside Powerhouse Hobbs against the Death Riders in a trios match. They were successful in victory, but competitive emotions boiled over with Joe and Page nearly coming to blows, if not for Hobbs and plenty of security to get in between them.

Seemingly angered by Page reaching past him for a tag in the match and an unintentionally sloppy handoff of his AEW World Trios Title, Joe flipped a dangerous switch that turned Page from ally to enemy. Even Page was confused by it at first, until he realized that just like so many others, Joe wants the AEW World Championship.

With these two set to meet one-on-one for the first time ever with the AEW World Championship up for grabs at WrestleDream on October 18, what will happen when they are face-to-face tonight on Dynamite?

Double Jeopardy Eliminator Match: AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido (ROH World Champion Bandido and Brody King) vs. AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita of The Don Callis Family

This Double Jeopardy Eliminator Match has massive championship stakes: If either Bandido or Brody King gets the win for their team, that man will earn an AEW Unified Championship match with “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada. However, if the Don Callis Family comes away victorious, they’ll get a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championship!

Last week on the sixth anniversary of Dynamite, Brodido teamed with Kenny Omega in a winning effort against Josh Alexander and the Young Bucks. Later in the night, Callis said he wasn’t happy that Brodido escaped from the post-match beating delivered to Omega, so he announced that Okada and Takeshita would team to face Brodido on Title Tuesday. While Takeshita was surprised and skeptical about the combination, Okada sternly confirmed it was happening.

Over the weekend, Bandido injured his shoulder while defending the ROH World Championship against Hechicero in CMLL, but he told Tony Khan he wants to “power through” and will be in action tonight! However, you have to wonder if the shoulder will be a big target for Okada and Takeshita.

Will either Bandido or King earn an AEW Unified Title match, or can Okada and Takeshita put their differences aside to get their chance at the AEW World Tag Team Titles?

PAC vs. Orange Cassidy

One of AEW’s greatest rivalries will be revisited when PAC faces Orange Cassidy nearly three years to the day of their last singles match. It was PAC’s surprise confrontation and challenge to Cassidy this past weekend on Collision that made this match a reality.

PAC and Cassidy first met at AEW Revolution 2020 in a match that holds a lot of historical significance as a representation of exactly what AEW is all about. Despite plenty of attempts to throw him off his game, PAC was victorious on that night – although Cassidy’s memorable performance left a lasting impression.

Since then, they have a record of 1-1-1 in one-on-one matches, with Cassidy winning their last match when he took the former AEW All-Atlantic Title from PAC in October 2022. And there’s also significant history at the site of tonight’s Dynamite, Daily’s Place, which hosted the outstanding 3-Way AEW World Championship match between Kenny Omega, Cassidy, and PAC at Double or Nothing 2021.

This will be PAC’s first match since April, although he’s been plenty busy carrying out the plans of the Death Riders since returning at All Out, including attacking Darby Allin and choking him with a chain at the end of last week’s Dynamite. Tonight, it will just be PAC and Cassidy in their old stomping grounds of Jacksonville!

Jon Moxley vs. Tomohiro Ishii

Tomohiro Ishii saw PAC challenge Cassidy and must have been inspired to have his own Death Riders vs. Conglomeration fight, as he challenges Jon Moxley tonight!

Two of the heaviest hitters in AEW will add another chapter to a rivalry that dates all the way back to one of the greatest NJPW G1 Climax matches ever in 2019, when The Stone Pitbull faces the leader of the Death Riders for the first time since June 2023.

Mox is just 11 days out from an I Quit Match with Darby Allin at WrestleDream, but he’ll need to stay focused on the challenge in front of him tonight on Title Tuesday!

TNT Championship: “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Kyle O’Reilly

We’ve seen “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher successfully defend his TNT Title four times, but he’ll need to be at his best against a very game and motivated Kyle O’Reilly when the two meet in a rematch of their memorable battle on Collision back in June.

After Fletcher took out Hologram two weeks ago on Collision, Orange Cassidy stepped into Hologram’s slot for a chance at Fletcher’s TNT Title at the sixth anniversary of Dynamite. Cassidy, like many others, fell victim to another Don Callis masterplan, as El Clon arrived to cost Cassidy the match.

This is more than just O’Reilly looking for revenge for what’s happened in recent weeks. He’s still looking to get back at Fletcher for taking out Adam Cole before All In.

After the match was announced, a focused and motivated O’Reilly made a clear statement to Fletcher, “Not only will we avenge our friend Adam Cole, I get to call myself TNT Champion.”

With Cole sidelined, Hologram jumped, and Cassidy robbed, O’Reilly will try to stand up for his friend and fellow Conglomerates when he gets his chance at Fletcher’s TNT Championship. It’s Kyle vs. Kyle 2 on Title Tuesday!

Mercedes Moné TBS Championship Open Challenge

For the first time ever, TBS Champion Mercedes Moné will wrestle at Daily’s Place, and she wants to make history. That’s why she’s decided to have a TBS Championship Open Challenge in Jacksonville on Title Tuesday, but there’s a twist – the challenge must be answered by someone from Florida.

Can the Sunshine State produce a worthy challenger for The CEO?

Jurassic Express in Action for the First Time Since 2022

Last week, Jurassic Express made their official return to Dynamite, once again targeting and dispatching the Young Bucks, just as they did at All Out. Now, Jack Perry and Luchasaurus return to action, appropriately enough as part of AEW Homecoming Week. What can we expect from the former AEW World Tag Team Champions when they team for the first time in over three years?

Street Fight: The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and MVP) vs. The Demand (Ricochet, Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun)

The Demand were riding high after their huge victory against The Hurt Syndicate at All Out, but a challenge from MVP will put these six men back in the ring – and anywhere else they want to go in Jacksonville – in a Street Fight!

After Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun defeated The Swirl on last week’s sixth anniversary of Dynamite, Ricochet decided to inflict some extra damage until a visit from Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and MVP at the top of the ramp. MVP apologized to his teammates for losing the match at All Out, but he reminded everyone he can still fight and issued the Street Fight challenge to The Demand.

Daily’s Place has played host to plenty of wild fights, but they’ve never seen The Hurt Syndicate in action. That changes tonight on Title Tuesday!

Roman Reigns challenged Bronson Reed to an Australian Street Fight at Crown Jewel

Maxxine Dupri def. Becky Lynch via count-out

Becky Lynch thought she was going to have an easy night, but Maxxine Dupri kept fighting back, thwarting Lynch’s plans.

Dupri found a new gear, hitting a fisherman’s suplex before kipping up in a great display of athleticism.

Dupri pulled out her Alpha Academy training, executing an Ankle Lock, but Lynch escaped the move.

The Man locked in the Dis-arm-her, but Dupri evaded before cinching in the Ankle Lock.

Dupri then leveled Lynch with a roundhouse kick and almost scored arguably the biggest upste of the year, but Lynch once again kicked out.

Irate with Dupri’s moxie, The Man attacked Dupri on the outside, screaming at the referee as Lynch smashed Dupri’s face into the announce desk.

Lynch lost track of the 10-count on the outside, grandstanding on the announce desk. The referee then counted out The Man, giving Dupri the biggest victory of her career.

Roxanne Perez def. Lyra Valkyria

Lyra Valkyria had the increasingly unhinged Bayley in her corner as she battled The Judgment Day’s Roxanne Perez.

Perez mangled Valkyria’s arm, leaving Valkyria defenseless.

Valkyria connected with a suplex but couldn’t lock in the pin with her injured arm.

While constantly needing to contend with Raquel Rodriguez at ringside, Bayley was blasted by a big boot from Perez’s ally.

Valkyria came to the aid of Bayley, but this allowed Perez hit a Pop Rox to get the win.

After the match, an incensed Bayley dragged Valkyria to the backstage area in search of their adversaries.

CM Punk, LA Knight and The Usos got into a fight

Kairi Sane def. IYO SKY

Former friends IYO SKY and Kairi Sane squared off in the ring for the first time in WWE.

Before the bell, SKY blasted Asuka outside the ring.

The two Superstars looked uncomfortable facing each other as Asuka barked orders at Sane.

Sane hit a catastrophic Alabama Slam as SKY’s head slammed onto the hardest part of the mat.

Sane went for an Insane Elbow, but The Genius of the Sky lifted her knees and blasted her airborne opponent.

As SKY was going for Over the Moonsault, Asuka distracted her. This allowed Sane to roll up SKY, with Asuka helping her by pulling the ropes to give Sane the win.

AJ Styles, Dragon Lee & Penta def. The Judgment Day

AJ Styles, Dragon Lee and Penta united to take on Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio and World Tag Team Champions Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh in a Six-Man Tag Team Match.

Styles, Lee and Penta started off strong, sending all three Judgment Day members to the outside before doing the iconic Penta walk.

Penta landed a DDT on Bálor before nailing a standing Spanish fly on McDonagh.

As Mysterio was about to hit the 619 on Styles, Rusev made his way to the ring. Mysterio ducked out of the way of a Penta superkick, which nailed Rusev instead.

Back in the ring, Styles hit the Styles Clash on McDonagh to get the win.

CM Punk & LA Knight def. The Usos

As soon as the bell rang, CM Punk, LA Knight and The Usos started clobbering each other.

Punk and Knight were not cohesive, as they started to viciously tag each other into the match.
