Rangers International FC of Enugu has signed three players to beef up the squad ahead of the second stanza of the Nigeria Profesional Football League, which kicks off later this month.
The recruits are Leonard Uguchukwu, signed from (Akwa United), Austin Osayande ( Dakkada FC), and Ugoeze Collins (Giants Brila FC)
Rangers FC Media officer Comrade Okolie Norbert said the Flying Antelopes did not start this season as the club’s handlers wanted, hence the need for new signings.
“We are looking at how to correct the wrongs in the first half of the season. The coaches are working round the clock to ensure that the players are in good shape before the second stanza commences”, he said.
“We believe we can still turn things around this season. It is not over until it is over. All we need to do is focus and win more matches when the league resumes.”
The second stanza of Nigeria’s Profesional Football League is expected to start after the Gubernatorial elections this weekend.
Rangers is currently 7th on the group B abridged table with nine points from eight matches.
Rivers United will host Rangers International on March 15, 2023.
