Senegal defender Kalidou Koulibaly begins his hastened entrance into the English Premier League with his arrival in London for his medical test ahead of completing his summer switch from Napoli to Chelsea.
The Senegal international is nearing the completion of his frenetic transfer to the Blues following the unexpected but escalated transfer interest of Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, who is under intense pressure to refurbish his back line with the departure of Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid this Summer.
The 31 year old Senegalese defender will seal a 5 year contract with Chelsea that will cost the ‘Blues’ £30m if he passes his medical. Koulibaly will then fly out from Cobham to the USA where he will connect with his new teammates on their ongoing oversea training tour.
