Albion goalkeeper nominated for another award
By Brighton Hove Albion
Chiamaka Nnadozie has been shortlisted for the 2025 African Goalkeeper of the Year award.
The nomination comes after Nnadozie helped Nigeria win the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in July for the tenth time in their history – and the second time in her career.
The 24-year-old won the golden glove and was named Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament following the Super Falcons’ victory in Morocco, which led to her becoming the first African keeper to be recognised at the Ballon d’Or awards in September.
She eventually finished fourth in the inaugural Women’s Yashin Trophy rankings and has since enjoyed a fantastic start to life as an Albion player after joining from Paris FC in June, keeping two clean sheets in six appearances so far.
